Events

Do I receive a copy of all the photos taken on the day?
The photos from your event will be edited and the best photos will be selected and provided in high and low resolution and provided to you for digital download. A USB copy can be provided at an additional cost.

What happens if I have to cancel my event?
If you need to reschedule your event, Melissa Hobbs Business Photography will make every effort to accomodate the change of dates however this can not be guaranteed. If you need to cancel your event completely all deposits will be forfeited.

What happens if Melissa is not able to photograph my event?
In the event of the photographer being incapacitated through injury, illness or any other unforeseen circumstance, the photographer will make every possible attempt to ensure another competent professional photographer provides a satisfactory level of coverage within the agreed package.

I have a whole bunch of things I need photographed at my event. How can I ensure they are photographed on the day?
Prior to your event, Melissa will provide you with a photography brief. This is your opportunity to provide details of all the things you want photographed at your event including specific people and things. Also providing an event schedule will ensure that the timing of the photography is clear to the photographer.

What if I want to add extra photography time to my event?
Additional time may be added to your event but it can not be reduced once confirmation of booking is received.

Head Shot Photography

Can you organise a hair and make-up artist before my headshot session?
Yes. Let us know if you would like to use the services of a hair and make-up artist before your shoot. All the cost associated with the service are at the clients expense including the hourly fee for the service, travel and parking costs and any other fees.

Who is responsible for coordinating all related services on the day of the shoot?
It is the clients responsibility to advice and coordinate all related services such as hair and make-up, of the session time, schedule and location.

Who is responsible for coordinating group head shot sessions?
Melissa can advice the organiser on how to schedule a group head shot session, allowing enough time to photograph everyone in the group. She can also provide some tips on what to wear so that the group shot has some continuity.

Covid-19

What if I have to cancel my event due to Covid-19?
Should the shoot be unable to go ahead because of a lockdown due to Covid-19, the deposit will be transferred to another shoot or the shoot will be rescheduled for another time suitable for both parties.

How will Covid-19 affect my photography booking?
Melissa is fully vaccinated and is happy to provide proof of vaccine if required.
Melissa Hobbs Business Photography has a Covid Safe Plan but as with the virus, this can change at any time according to the Chief Health Officer of that state or territory’s requirements at the time.
Melissa Hobbs Business Photography will follow social distancing and mask wearing regulations and will practice good hygiene by using hand sanitiser.
The MHBP photographer will sign into each event using the QR code system and may require this data to provide to government organizations in the case of a Covid-19 outbreak.
If a Covid-19 outbreak occurs, MHBP photographers will follow the advice of the Chief Health Officer and follow restrictions, quarantine or lockdown rules of that state or territory where required.

Insurance

Do you have insurance?
Yes Melissa Hobbs Business Photography has both Public Liability Insurance and Work Cover Insurance. Let us know if you need to see a copy.

Photography Equipment

What kind of equipment do you bring to events/shoots?
The equipment we bring to events/shoots depends entirely on what is being photographed. Melissa has 2 new Canon cameras that provide quality imagery for every situation. Additionally she has a range of lenses that allow her to photograph right up close or from a distance. She also has a lens that allows her to get a wide shot of a venue, corner to corner. Melissa also has a range of lighting and flash equipment that she takes on location for head shot photography or events. If you would like more details please let Melissa know.

Terms and Conditions

  • Booking is confirmed once booking agreement is signed and booking deposit is paid.

  • Parking and travel fees may apply and will be invoiced after the shoot

  • Final images are not watermarked

  • The remainder of the fee is payable within 7 days of the event

  • Although agreed hours can be added to on the day, they cannot be reduced once confirmation of booking is received.

  • MHBP does not take responsibility for lost or damaged images once delivered to the client.

  • Any postage fees required are the responsibility of the client and will be invoiced accordingly.

  • The booking agreement is between the client and Melissa Hobbs Business Photography. MHBP is happy to negotiate the usage of photographs with any other parties, however such use is at the discretion of Melissa Hobbs Business Photography.

  • Copyright remains with Melissa Hobbs Business Photography and its assignees.
